I was just thinking, the so called 'Alias's' on the site take a bashing for 'being someone they are not'. Are we not all doing that ? Aren't we all hiding behind an alias (ie: username) ?

fine,thanks, I am well aware that this is the internet. My point is this. Why do people get given a hard time about 'hiding' when it is something that each and every one of us are doing ?

as I said they have a username that we all know and are familiar with then they come on as an alias just to have a go at people

None of you get the point ! You may recognise a certain username but that does not necessarily mean that you 'know' that person. How do you know that the people you 'trust' on here are not the people behind the alias chaos on here ? Answer: You DON'T know that

the point is, everyone accepts the "persona" we are on here, providing we're reasonably pleasant and are consistent.

The problems only occur when a well known user, deliberately creates another account with the express purpose of annoying the other members.
