My body aches a bit this morning. Been away a week getting the new place ready. Filling a skip, digging mud, laying carpet etc. etc. Today my eldest son leaves home and we two are taking his stuff to his new furnished abode later.
Dont think I have a soul as I dont feel sad that hes going after hes been at home for 27 years (though I have said he doesn't have to sleep in the new place while we still have 2 weeks in our house). Love him to bits so may be a bit tearful later as I drive off and leave him. But I wont hold my breath as I can be sensitive and kind one minute and a hard nosed whotsit the next.

We are going to a wedding in Sept and of corse the missus must have something new to wear, so we go out, look at lots + lots of pretty frocks then she who must be obayed says "you know what? I can't remember the last time I treated myself to a new look" (I can, it was 3 months ago). So we trudge around every frock and shoe shop inm Northampton, do you know how many shops open on a sunday? I'll tell you, it's flaming thousands and thousands. At least I got a trip to Burger King for making all the right "no it doesn't make your bum look big" noise
