Older men and youger women

I'm 17 years older than my wife, age has never been an issue for us although it was for her parents but they are ok now.
What age diffrence would other ABers find unacceptable?
TIA

Obviously, when you are talking a 16 year old and a 32 year old then there is an issue.
I have always gone for a woman younger than me as i am a little immature.
From my experience with friends i know, it never seems to work out if the woman is older than the guy...

My daughter's BF is 41 and she is 22, but she is mentally more mature than him, but he is loaded and has his own business and likes Garth Brooks. He treats her like a star and he paid for my MOT whilst i was on holiday. I have no problems with him but he knows i will break all his bones and burn his lorry to the ground if he messes her about.
It depends on a lot of factors as I dont think there is a definitive cut off point. For example, if you were 32 and your wife was 15, this would be considered unacceptable (but not in years gone by of course where it was actively encouraged). But as she is presumably somewhat greater than 15, it can be deemed acceptable.
Consequently I would agree with raysparx.

My father's wife is about seven years older than me. I'm 28. He's about 62. You do the maths. (At this point I should make you aware that he doesn't look his age and he's not rich).
I think as long as my father is happy and loved I have nothing to say on the matter.
(Thinking about it, he's also 11 years older than my mum).
It's subjective... E.g. If a rich man the same age as my father decided to set up shop with some blond, Barbie doll I'd probably think he was being used for his money. But then I'd also think it was his money to chuck away.

I think once they've flown the nest and got a bit of maturity about them it doesn't really matter what age they are so long as you are both happy with it. I personally couldn't date anybody that was still at school or still living with their folks though. My biggest gap was 26 years though but I was very mature for my age and had been through quite a lot.
I dont think I would be happier with anyone more older than 35 or younger than 23. I'm 28. I need to relate to my partner on most levels and I'm sure people will tell me otherwise but I really don't think its possible with a big age difference.
I would probably raise an eyebrow at anyfriend of mine that was dating someone 40 plus, not that I would say anything, I would just expect it not to last.

At my age of 34, I could not think of anything worse than going out with a 17 year old.
An 18 movie is out of the question.
A pub or club is out of the question
And to be honest, I have got better things to do than sit in a park with a bag of chips with some hopelessly innocent bird.
8 years my junior, 2 years my senior seems about right.

PS about a month ago I was talking to a friends 17 year old daughter who is supposed to be highly intelligent.
However, when she asked if her 18 year old boyfriends Citroen Saxo VTR was faster and more expensive than my Bentley, her age really came through. Naturally being a gentleman, I said the Citroen was a little cheaper but certainly faster than a Bentley.
Bless.
PS She is very attractive, but far, far, far too young to even consider.

GS, you're driving down a long straight road in a beautiful vintage motor you've passed a garage a wee while ago but now you can see that the fuel gague on the car is low (you didn't notice this before.) You're fully aware that somewhere not too far up ahead you're going to have to stop and get out and walk. Do you drive on enjoying the scenery and hope for another stop or do you turn back bearing in mind that you have all the time in the world?
but the fact that you are still together, have children together etc etc proves that your relationship was more than sex. It is hard for an outsider to view a relationship between a 17 year old and an older man in that way. I know if it had been my daughter I would have been gutted but a few years down the line I would think, he really does love her.
From the way you have posted anout men wanting to date your dauighter I would have thought its going to be very difficult for any man let alone someone twice her age. Yet my father has always said "whatever or whoever can make you happy, Ames, thats all I care about" and bizarrely I have no interest in anyone outside my age range.
