i regulaly wake up with a green and white residue on my tung, is there anyone else with this problem and is this the cause of my recent bad breath

It sounds like you may have a fungal infection, and yes this will give you bad breath. Have a word with your doctor who will confirm the reason for this condition, and give you some treatment. Don't panic, it's common, and responds to treatment, usually a course of anti-biotics.
