i went away with my boyfriend over the weekend and he left me with his phone. i couldn't help but look as this NEVER happens. (i posted a topic saying he always takes his phones with him everywhere) anyways, he went into the petrol station and i looked, i went into his sent messages and there was one saying "i thought of you and missed you so decided to text you." does this mean anything? i can't help but feel upset. he never mentions any girls he knows and this was the first i'd ever heard of her. it put a real dampen to our holiday.

Tell him what you found.

He will, of course, make you the bad person for looking, but don't let that cloud the issue.

If he's been cheating, or at the very least, tempted to cheat, then that is where the problem lies not that you looked where you shouldn't. If he had been a little more open with his 'phone you may not have had suspicions in the first place, after all.

he couldn't make me out to be the bad person as he quite regularly goes through my phone but i still feel bad for looking!

i was texting a mate (a guy mate) and he asked me who i was texting. i replied with 'some guy' not really thinking about how that would affect him. i read another message to this same girl saying "nats been texting another guy its really starting to get on my nerves"
could he maybe have said the message about missing her to p!ss me off?
im so confused.

Hmmm, if its another girl he has been texting then he has definately been cheating.
I know a lot on here will just say that it may be innocent or that it may have supposed to have been sent to you, but sent it someone else by accident.etc, etc.
The fact that he never let you near his phone in the first place suggests he was up to something.
Your better off confronting him and tell him your fears...

Obviously he will get annoyed. What are you doing texting other guys infront of your boyfriend anyway?
He obviously thought you were being disrespectful to him and is doing the same.

he knows i talk to a lot of guys as i don't get along with girls at all.
he knew this before we got together and i told him upfront.
i don't hide anything from him and let him read anything he wants to.

Yes but nat13, letting him read them doesnt ease his concience. It will make him worse.
As he reads them he is painting a pic in his head of what your really like. In time he will begin hate you.
Your better off not showing him the texts you have sent to other lads.
things arent going to get any better i am afraid. If your thinking of staying together your both gonna have to put up with texting people of the opposite sex.
I dont understand why your getting annoyed though, just because he is doing what your doing...

Nat, sounds like some people on here lead very complicated lives. Not every guy in the world will text girls because you have guy friends, to get back at you. I didn't realise that having male friends was an activity that needed getting back at.

It might mean nothing. He might be flirting. He may have cheated. They may be good friends. The only way you can even attempt to find out is by asking him.

is there anyone that he could have sent it to that could make it an innoccent message? e.g. his mother or sister or even a male friend. It is not necessarily a romantic message depending on how you read it.
