Wrong lyrics by mistake
15 Answers
To jump on Fuzzybee's question, what song lyrics have you thought you heard and have sung until someone corrected you? In the late 80's/early 90's there was the song "Groove is in the heart" and I always thought, though knew it made no sense, that it was "Roses in the Park".

Then he said to me, I'll google the lyrics, the grin soon turned to a red face.
As a child I was obsessed with Calamity Jane and thought 'now I shout it, from the highest hills' was 'now I shallis, from the highest hills'. To this day my dad calls the film, 'Now I Shallis'.
Another massive mistake was Wuthering Heights, it wasn't just a word or a line I got completely wrong, it was the whole chorus! Instead of, 'Heathcliff, it's me your Cathy, I've come home, I'm so co-o-o-oold let me in at your windo-o-o-ow' I used to sing, 'Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy, I've come home now, thought ho-o-o-ome could be anywhere, no-o-o-ooo'. It's ot even really similar!

these two i had minor arguments with the person because they wouldnot accept what i was saying - even though it was the name of the song!
my friend was singing flexic nuneral, instead of electric funeral (black sabbath) - even though its the name of the song and flexic and nuneral are not even real words! absolutely would not have it.
another guy was singing, ''shot down, in a bed of roses'' instead of ''...blaze of glory'', by bon jovi - again its the name of the song! ... but he would not have it.
