Is baldness unattractive?
25 Answers
I think I scrub up pretty well from the front, Im not an adonis, but I have a fairly atttractive face, but Im certain that if a girl likes me from the front, then as soon as she sees me from behind she gets turned off. This is because at 26 I have a big bald patch on my crown. I have been taking regaine for over a year, it might help a little but doesnt work miracles.
I hate it when the hairdresser pulls out the mirror and shows me the back of my head. I cringe. I hate it when the CCTV inside the bus switches to back view and I see my bald patch. It must be real off-putting to girls. My question is, how many girls here can honestly claim that baldness is not a turn-off?

keep it short and neat and be confident, just doing that will work wonders for your social life

I started going bald when I was in my 30s but receding in my 20s. I never had a problem, it never bothered me and I don't think it was a turn off for the Women, the biggest turn off for Women is when you try hiding it, they just think you are sad then!!
Keep your hair really short and it is not so obvious!! Just don't do the comb over lol
Just accept it!!

I know quite a few males without a full head of hair.
If they cut it really short - almost skinhead - it looks really good and nobody notices the bald bits.
If you have a comb-over covering your bald patch or a really awful wig - then people notice and usually snigger.
Stop taking the regaine - it's a waste of money. In the big scheme of things being bald is nothing to be worried about.

I really dont like the skinhead look though. Im not trying to cover up the baldness (its impossible) but I am growing my hair as normal because I prefer it that way so I guess that its more obvious. Most of you are mentioning that having hair kept really short looks good and is the best cover up but its not answering my question.
I was totally in love with my art teacher at school for many years. He was totally bald, with a beard. And a bit ginger! So only really superficial women will be turned off by baldness- you are best off without them. Leave them to the men who only specify "slim" women in their dating ads!
Sexiness in a man comes from their sparkly eyes, sexy smile, sense of humour and confidence. Aren't you lucky that most women list sense of humour as their biggest requirement in a man, unlike men who need women to look a certain way first.
If you are that bothered about it, you can have implants like Shaun Williamson (Barry from eastenders) but I really wouldn't worry about it.

Laughing my socks off here .......Well I was going to say that if I liked someone I wouldn't be fussed about what their back of their head looked like ......but then up you came with a pea-sized head on a big body and huge Spock ears !!!!!! For heavens sake stop there !!!!!!
Stop selling yourself short , I'm sure you are lovely really :-)

I had a similar dilemna a few months back when I started sprouting a few grey hairs. Evidently, some birds find it kind of distinguished, so I decided against Grecian 2000.
I think baldness is probably the same.
Yes there are going to be some birds who don't like a baldy but then there are some gentlemen who don't like Nigella Lawson, which I find freakish. Each to their own, I guess.
However, I am led to believe that although men are the hairier of the sexes, baldness is actually a sign of decent high levels of testosterone. These will no doubt be released via the body natural chemistry, or pheromones, thus making you actually more actractive to a bird.
One only has to look at Sean Connery, who hated wearing a wig, especially as James Bond, and that Bruce Willis fellow seems to do alright with the fairer sex.
I am not balding in the slightest, but if I were to start losing my hair, I honestly do not think it will bother me in the slightest. Like you, I am no George Clooney, but scrub up fairly well.
However, I would follow advice here and keep your hair short.
Don't worry young man, baldness is a fact of life that only the shallow and hair fetish bints worry about.

I would have no problem being chatting up or going out with a bald bloke (if I weren't already married, that is), just as long as I liked who he was.
The guys I have problems with are the guys who shave their heads because they think being bald makes them look macho. It just makes them look like twits.

Men worry too much but then thats easy for me to say eh! Ive got enough hair for 3 females lol
Bald can be attractive, of course it can, its not all about hair or lack of it. I personally think it should be cut really short if youre worried about it, it kinda disguises it.
Worst thing men do is the 'pedal bin' effect when they flip a long bit over the gap lol

As cazzz has mentioned...2 words...
Bruce & Willis *mmmmmmm* yum!
I agree baldness is not unattractive at all. I know men who are bald..some try and hide it by growing their hair, others have shaved it. The shaved look DOES look more attractive, so I am answering your question ;o)
Trying to hide it not only looks silly, it hints at vanity..and women don't tend to find that attractive in a man.
