How is Success measured ?

I am thinking particularly of B&S, not all of it, but those posts that are shrieking out for 'tell me how fab and popular I am' type answers. I don't post such as these mainly because I am as popular as dog sh!it on a bike tyre.

Anyways, howsomever, what constitutes success ? 10 replies, 20 replies, 30 replies ? (This is after you have mentally weeded out the 'I think you are a complete w�nker ones')

Depends on your values. Some measure success in material things, others in family life / happiness. Personally I go for the material things as I don't have my own family.

sorry, but you are quite clearly losing your touch. i actually was thinking the other day how at your controversial best you had lots of q's and a's but nowadays, you are lucky if you get 5-6 because some peple have ecome far more annoying than you are. I have no idea why i was thinking this, it just came to me when i was reasing one of your posts that most people had ignored. I also have no idea hy im implyng you're annoying because you've never particularly annoyed me, but other people seemed to get irritated.

I think too much and probably need to get out more

You must be far popular than me, whiff.

If ever I post a Q (not often) I average at about 8 replies, I think. However I look for quality rather than quantity. take the Russian (I wish you would) who thinks that 200 answers are great even though:

A) Most of the answers are chatty posts amongst others

or

B) Half of them are her own posts

In any case, you are popular with me whiffey.

bednobs, you are my fave fabby ABer, honest.

The dog sh!t on the bike tyre became an awful reality tonight when I had to cycle home in the dark over Mitcham Common. Dog sh!t is very sticky. Normal mud drops off your tyres quickly, but when you turn up on the doorstep and there is a reluctant piece of crud on the tyre with bits of grass sticking out, you know it is dog sh!t and to put down a carrier bag in the hall.

bednobs, most people ignore my posts and I don't blame them because I am very unpopular and very boring. I think Pippa is the thin end of the wedge, just saying nice things to help me sleep at nights.

The only way I get 30 answers is by posting most of them myself !
