To answer you question, I have no idea but I reckon

Vascetemy
Hystorectamy
Mole removal
Tonsil removal
Appendix removal
Cortarizing nasal veins
Pollops removal
Lazer eye treatment
Wisdom teeth

Are the most common.
And I forgot to add Ceasarian birth
I reckon,

termination of pregnancy.
cataracts,
then investigative procedures (laperoscopy, endosocopy)
then a whole wedge of removals tonsils, appendix, gall bladder.
Grommets

Im ff to google my arse off for a list now lol
Would sniping off haemarroids count as an operation?

I also forgot to mention varicose vein removal, which my Grandmother had last week. I understand it is common.
Just to add, my spelling is usually OK, but these medical terms all look wrong. Sorry.
theres loads of things though. removing a tooth (does that count).... biopsies, are they operations?

My uncle had his veins done and that looked really painful.

I'd still go with a d&c being the most performed.
Which I add is all speculation and am usually wrong about ermmm verything.
What's a d and c?
dilation and curettage, one of the methods used for termination of pregnancy (suction is the other main one) but a d&c is often performed after a miscarriage and other womeny problems...so I think it might be front runner.
Thinking about it, with our growing muslim population and a million Jews in the UK (don't know about hindu, sikh etc), circumcision must be common.

How else would we get beef flavoured Hula Hoops?
