Something different

When was the last time you did something out of character?
Whether it was bad or good, what was it? And what compelled you to do it? And how did you feel afterward?

Serious answer. I gave up on a close family member recently. I did it because I think she needs to learn a lesson about taking responsibility. I feel dreadful about it.

Before that, I was up to no-good-antics with my ex while we were going through our break up. I was still living under his roof for a while after we broke up, and he was regularly dating some other woman and then disappeared off on a holiday that I was supposed to have attended with him. It was all too much for me really, so I found myself doing things to his belongings in his house! hahahaha! Things like;
1) binning ONE of his favourite, expensive cufflinks
2) binning a brand new designer shirt that he's just bought, because I knew he'd think he'd misplaced it
3) encouraging the dog to sleep on his bed, especially using his pillow...
4) cleaning my shoes with his electric toothbrush
The list goes on. But I did feel bad doing all the stuff. I knew it wasn't 'me' at all but at the same time I couldn't stop myself. I guess it was all I could do to handle the hurt he'd put me through.

1. Last Saturday we went to a large garden centre. While Mr O & the junior O's were looking at plants, I checked no one was looking and climbed onto a trampoline for a sneaky bounce. A sour faced employee sniffily informed me it was for children, not middle aged women.
2. We've just had some new bedroom furniture fitted. Mr O took his clothes from the old wardrobes & left them heaped on the bed. I took the chance to surreptitiously bin a load of his naff favourites, including two loose tops that make him look like Demis Roussos, some 1970's cheesecloth shirts and his 2nd best suit that was out of fashion when HIS dad was a lad.
3. We had roast beef for Sunday lunch, with leftovers earmarked for sarnies. Mr O complained it was too chewy. After a prolonged 2nd moan, I made his sarnies for work and included a chopped up elastic band. That'll teach him!
