came home and ive had a question banned, the one from like over a week ago asking where puddicat was, how she hadnt been back, someone banned it and it was completely unoffensive etc etc etc

my answers keep getting removed for no reason. i am never offensive, never racially abusive, and not stating anything against the rules so why would this happen

that may be true, but i've had it with ab for people making statements about themselves/other people or ab in the body and soul category. I wouldn't have thought i'd have to say it but quite clearly people are still monumentally cretinous enough to moan about a demise that they are adding to by making posts that 1) aren't questions and 2) in a poor section that already has to do loads of work already!
You question was a week ago, get over it! it obviously wasn't to do with body and soul, but another user. If you worry about/want to converse with other users then get their email address, dont clog up the "body and soul" section looking for them, then you wont get your questions banned

Now now bednobs- usually agree with you but that was unduly harsh. I can understand weeal's anger. When you look at the calibre of posts that's stays on B&S, it does beggar belief why an innocent friendly post to another user was removed.

No it might not have been a question, but then neither are 99.9% of posts here.

I'd rather see dozens and dozens of posts asking about the well being of another person than what's filling B&S at the moment.

what I was referring to was...puddicat had been upset about her impending birthday when nobody was going to be around to celebrate it with her, she never came back on, I had posted a question asking had anyone heard how she got on. It was a kind and thoughtful question, there was no nonsense in the replies, nobody had heard how she got on and several were concerned. Someone took the time to ban that post, complete lunacy when you read other stuff that goes on in AB with verbal abuse and hatred.
I believe I am rightfully mad about it and I dont care if this post isnt a question, AB never sticks to the bloomin rules as far as I can see anyway.

Thank you, BOO. Sometimes this is the only way to communicate with another user, as we may not have their e-mail address. Like you said, some of the stuff that gets on B&S is utter rubbish, especially when someone starts an argument. I'd rather see that people are concerned about other folk, too. I'm "guilty" as bedknobs sees it, of caring about other folk, but I don't want my e-mail address made public, so I do it here. Weeal - don't go!! K xx

Agree with bednobs. I post some trite sometimes. But I wouldn't moan about it getting banned. It's a Q&A site. We get away with a lot. No point in whinging when you don't.

But its all objective isn't it CD? I personally wouldn't consider a question enquiring about another user to be trite. And if it's asking where another user is, surely that makes it a question?
