I know someone (male) who when they were 13 was caught on cctv pleasuring themselves while touching a younger boy of about 8. This person now has a new son. How much of a risk to the baby would you think this person would be.

Would you say they were a paeodophile in the making or something else?

Ok I never expected so many answers. It is a very serious question, I am kind of family related although not by blood. He is known to social services so I cant say too much but they have said he is allowed contact with the baby once every 3 weeks. He is now 19.
I am not sure what to think of him, I can't make out if he would be a danger or not. He seems a very nice person but I know you cannot trust your judgement of people always.
I think everyone deserves the benefit of doubt and he is a lot older now and probably regrets what he did. You can't hold it against him for the rest of his life.

I'd say let it be and as long as social services are involved it will be ok. But we know thats not true

but are the social services right to only let him see his new son every 3 weeks?
Perhaps they have other reasons
There has to be more to this story surely? I can't believe social services would be so closely involved in this extremely mild form of sexual experimentation. Is there more that you're not telling us Red Dragon? I understand if there is that you might not be able to tell us but i'm baffled.
I do think thats a bit harsh! 3 weeks to see your kid. Surely thats a bit drastic?
You posted an attention-grabbing question to which you received fair responses...........
You are now drip-feeding us additional information........
Either tell us everything or finish this now.
If the 'authorities' are already involved there will be a set of circumstances to which you as 'kind of family related' are not privvy.................nor are we.
I agree with PB ~ is there a court order in place which details contact with his child?

There may well be other reasons for this limited contact.
they must have something on him

I am family related which is why they have told me this information about him. The only other thing i know is that he was abused by his family , which may or may not be continuing I dont know.
I posted this question to gain people's opinions about this. Why does everything always turn into an argument on this site?
I dont know if there is a court
The point is, I agree, I think once every 3 weeks seems a bit harsh. I have never had contact with social services before but the way they operate seems kind of odd. They are guessing that once every 3 weeks means he would be safer than once a week? I don't see what difference that would make.
The point is , how can anyone tell from what he did whether he would pose a danger or not?
