I travel on the tube to and from work weekdays and often see attractive young girls that I would like to ask out for a drink, but they always seem to be wearing a ring on their third finger. Am I unintentionally targeting the married/engaged ones or is this the trend for women to wear a ring on their third finger?
there's definitely a trend for wearing rings on third fingers. Also remember that the hand on which someone would wear engagement/wedding ring differs from country to country.
I wouldn't let the rings put you off, if you like the girl go for it.
Left.
I have to say I used to wear a much loved ring on my third finger because I was given it when I was younger and as an adult it was the only finger it fit, so don't be put off.
I wear a ring on my wedding finger to deter persistent creeps.
Not saying that you are one, but some blokes just go on and on so i waggle my finger at them and tell them to bog off!
i must admit i used to wear a ring on my third finger to deter men but now i wear an eternity ring to show my love for my man.
one of these days i'll get that wedding ring!
ha ha ha... it's soooo corny and 80's when women wave their ringed finger to a man.
What's wrong with just saying politely that you're not interested. And anyway now a days being married doesn't mean you're tied to being with only one man.
As a woman I appreciate how men must dread the whole "let down" remark so always try to be friendly and make it light hearted. After all it is a compliment that you got picked out of all the other girls on this planet and there's certainly no need to be rude about it.
i like this girl i met 2 weeks ago, she asked me my name after talking for the second time, and i feel like she wants me to ask her, but i saw a ring on her left ring finger, now im terrified that shes taken, im in two minds whether to ask her or not.
But the thing is that even if a girl is not wearing a ring, it doesnt mean that they are available. Plenty of girls that are dating dont wear a ring. We just have to be bold and ask them out!
