food intolerance
3 Answers
I don't know about others but my intolerance is certainly not a 'fad' If I eat anything containing garlic or any form of onion it goes straight through me and can be embarrassing. Eating out is a problem - a rare treat anyway - almost everything on the menu contains one of these although a few places are really helpful. I know its not like a life threatening reaction but by avoiding the culprits by cooking me own meals from scratch or checking labels with a 'fine tooth comb' prevents these unpleasant effects. I am tired of reading how these are all good for me ! and I do not suffer from the colds, high blood pressure etc that these are supposed to prevent

I have always assumed this was connected in some way to IBS and it is helped a little by either mebeverine or Buscopan, both available over the counter, but you shouldnt buy them unless you have been diagnosed by a GP that this is the problem. Talking of embarrassing moments _ I should have a bum like Jane Fonda for the amount of times I have to clench my buttocks till I get home; often fearing I'm not going to make it! lol
