This morning I've enjoyed 3 simple pleasures: 1. That first cuppa before anyone else got up 2. Cleaning the fluff off the tumble drier filter 3. Blowing on the tummy of my neice's baby and listening to his giggles. What simple pleasures does anyone else enjoy?
I know what you mean with that one, nutgoneflake. Another thing I've always loved is the feel of a little hand in mine. I'm dreading the day when my youngest stops wanting to hold my hand. My middle child insists I walk 10 paces behind, in case anyone sees us together!!
Having a nice soak in the bath then going to bed with a cup of tea,bar of chocolate and a good book.I love that feeling of lying back knowing the children are safe in bed,it might be raining outside but everything is ok in your world :)
I count my blessings everyday.
Todays simple pleasures for me; on the PC huddled in the bedroom, by the only electric fire in an unheated house, while hubby and the plasterer work on the house with most doors and windows open. Having just been told that my landlord is releasing my full 1200 deposit money, finally, after nearly a month. Shopping on line for stuff for the new place.
1. A particular nice cuppa.......
2. Peace and quiet...............no TV, no radio, just me and the hum of my PC......
3. Answering the telephone and hearing "Hello, Mum........." and having a warm, friendly adult conversation with my son. When did he get so grown-up and so wise? ............I think I must have blinked :o(
Waking up when it's cold and horrible and realising it's a saturday and I can stay in bed.
Dragging my duvet in to the living room with a cup of tea because I've just realised that if I stay in bed I will miss James Martin on Saturday Kitchen.
A couple of days ago I was having a mid morning bop to Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. The look on the window cleaners face was priceless. I think he was torn between running away or calling for medical assistance for me!
i love it when its cold out side shutting all the curtains.fire on nice and warm ........my son gets out the bath and we lay on sofa watching a good film .....he 13 years old but loves hes cuddles which is great ;)
