If there was no UK, what nationality would you prefer to be?
I'd be German, it's a beautiful country, and the people are pretty much like the Brits, shame about the lack of sense of humour, but we could work on that

I agree, 4GS, I'd be German. Germany is a
stunning country, and the cleanliness and efficiency
have to be seen to be believed.
The grammar is a nightmare, but locals forgive the
odd error and appreciate all attempts to learn
their lingo. I grasp their sense of humour, too.
Can't wait to get back to Bavaria and /or the
Schwarzwald.
