i have just spent 2 hours in argos trying to return the 32" HD plasma TV my son bought on sunday with his 21st money. They have sold him a substitute but it does not have the picture to picture function, which he wanted so he could have tv on and use his xbox online, it's too technical for me, but anyhow, can i just ask, what clues do you look for when you have an idea you are being spoken to in a patrinising way?
lol noooooooooooooooooooo we know how it works!!! but the substitute model didn't have that function and the woman in argoose thought my son was being picky not accepting the replacement model!!! it cost 1200 and he wanted the right specs, as he puts it.
dot,
Think you know the answer to that. You just have a gut feeling and I would refuse to be patronised by anyone.
If he was sold this TV and not the one he thought it was, then I would take it back and not move out of the store until the situation was resolved.
What a shame.
Hope you got your money back.
People call me a snob, but John Lewis electricals usually come with a free 5 year guarantee, cheap delivery and a no quibble returns policy. Also their prices are cheaper than Argos.
I agree with Shadow Man - John Lewis is a great store. Service is excellent because it is owned by the staff. I try my very best not to buy from Argos because of the staff. I'm not insulting all staff, some are good but most are horrid.
