Ladies, sorry to get so personal but need your help here, what in your opinion is the best form of contraceptive? There's soooo much to choose from like the pill, injection, implants...don't know which one to go for myself so looking for your thought. Thanks.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Zammo, the pill is fine in the short term.I was put on it by the Doc to control severe period pain.I stayed on it for 10 years and had a stroke aged 21.Condoms are the way to go to protect against STDs,but the pill is ok for short time ase,Also,The inplants are good, can stop periods altogrther.Have a chat with your GP,thats what theyre there for.Good luck.
Here's my 2p worth.....
I was on the pill for years with no problems (microgynon)...after I came off that to have my son - I had the injection - had horrendous mood swings & put 2st on). after that I went on the non-hormonal coil, had no problems for the first 3yrs but then started to get pains around ovulation time - had it removed and a new one fitted about a year ago and haven't had any more problems (they think there was just an infection in the 1st!)
Obviously this is just what my experiences are and other people use these methods with absoultely no effects whatsoever!!
Other than that ALWAYS use condoms if you are not in a relationship, this is the ONLY way (other than no sex of course!) of protecting yourself from STD's!
