If you are being accused of doing something that you didnt do? Do you just think 'oh well my conscience is clear and to hell with them' or do you make it your lifelong ambition to clear your name?

Depends what i'm being accused of.Usually I would just let it go but if it was something heinous I was falsely/wrongly accused of then I would fight to the death to clear my name.

I would do eveything possible to clear my name.It makes my blood boil to be accused of something i havent done.

Yes, if it was something heinous, like being accused of murder or theft or drug smuggling then of course you should fight to clear your name. Just look at Kenny Ritchie, 20 odd years behind bars in America, he could have been out by now if he had admitted to the crime - but he is innocent.

Ok, if its not something heinous, just something really important to you. - what would you do?

If I knew I was innocent then I would just leave it to settle down probably.

hua kola - I am a bit like that! Dog with a bone, and get really annoyed when I am accused of something that I didnt do, but someone is hell bent on saying that I did. GRRRRRRR

depends what your being accused of but if you feel very strongly about it and you know your right and that you haven't done it stand up and fight your corner. don't let them bully you. x

Thank you ecrs2000, I know that I am right, I know that I didnt do what I am being accused of. Its just so annoying that another person continues to think that I did and there has been ramifications elsewhere.

Anyway, I have put my points to them, and hopefully they will come round. If not? Well, I am a great believer in 'karma' and so truth will come out eventually, but by then it may be too late.

I'm in a situation at the moment where people have been told ive done something that i havent or its certainly been implied anyway!

I see the looks i get, and yes, it bothers me to an extent but in a way i think, oh well, the people that really matter know the truth so is it that important what people think of me who don't really know me or who i don't give two hoots about! My conscience is clear about what i have and have not done so let em get on with it. Yesterdays news and all that! :-)

Thanks Beryllium - I have followed Kenny Ritchies case for years, I remember when he was first sentenced. I hope he is freed soon, bail was set at $10million but if they raised $1m he would get out.

ecrs23000, its not that type of situation where the person is trying to 'win' - they have been misinformed or mislead or are just being downright pig headed and refuse to see that I am telling the truth as it will make them realise that they were wrong about me.

In the scheme of things its not that important, however its a bugging me big time just now.

Its a horrible situation to be in, I would be furious but am not good at sticking up for myself and I sometimes lose cos I wont fight and then it sticks in my mind for ever and I cant let it go, inwardly.
Not healthy, better to get the air cleared.
