Texting is Crap.

Although a big fan of gadgets, I couldn't give a monkey's knacker about mobile phones. In fact the only reason I have a newish one is because of coverage in my area and the company insisted on an upgrade.

Further I have sent abot two texts in my life. Without sounding like an old fart, I really do not know how to on my phone.

I think texting is a complete waste of time. If you have something to say, then telephone them. What I have seen of texts is utter nonsense.

Also they can cause more harm than good. People can misunderstand the content, feel "let down" when they do not receive one back and there is a difficulty in when to actually break off such communication.

However, I am fully aware that adults use them just as much as children.

May I respectfully ask you to print the last text you received (obviously missing out any profanity or personal detail) in order to prove my point.

Or if proved wrong, enlighten me to this relatively new joy that millions of Brits enjoy.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who feels the same about mobile phones.
I keep mine for emergencies only, it is very rarely turned on and I never text.

I loathe mobile phones and only use them when very necessary. Texting? Never sent one.

Oh i love my moby, excellent camera and all the music I like is on it, and thats where I get all my jokes from, people sending me them in texts!

700 minutes worth of UK calls per month cant be bad either.

I'm not a big texting fan either, but I did get one today from my dad saying "my new number is......", so I dutifully replied "got it, cheers"....really riveting stuff!
