Does urine and faeces contain DNA? If so why is the usual bodily substance to do tests on is blood. Wouldn't it be easier to do a urine sample???

in an episode of one of the csi lot this week this occurred, apparently urine is reverse dna, you have to know who's iot was to know your killer, to nail him i mean
