i have recentley ask a question in both bussiness and jobs but had no answers. i am due to have an assessment for a job i applied for which is broken down in 3 stages. 1st is team disscussion, 2nd is role play and 3rd is short presentation. im most nervous of presentation. i have to pick something out of a box and sell it to a team of people. i have never done anything like this before and was wondering if anyone had any tips/ advice, for example selling a blue biro or maybe a bar of chocolate. how would i go about it?

If you are allowed to look in the box and choose, you will probably realise which one will be best for you. You have to give the virtues of the product. The superb colour or taste or whatever. The low price. The speed of delivery. The rarity, whatever. If you can bring humour into it so much the better. Practice now before it happens. Pick up anything and see what you can say about it. Very best of luck on the day.
good answer above...... go around the house and pick anything up. (Don't choose, that makes it too easy). Hold the object in your hand and sell it. It will be hard a first, but you will soon get the hang of it. Do it at least 20 times. Make sure you are on your own so you can speak out without feeling odd. Look at its style, colour, usefulness, versitilaty, cost. It's the art of making a pen, stapler, whole-punch look attractive and a necessity. Post back and let us know how the practice is going!

very good advice from above, all I can add is to maybe look in the mirror while doing it (the presentation that is lol)
Good help from those above. To be less nervous just think you are presenting and selling to folks on here.

Best of luck with it and hope you land the job! xx
My son went through this recently and he did not have a choice as to the object. Unfortunately he got a pink scarf and he did his best, but not good enough to get the job.
