It sounds like keretosis pilaris, which runs in families, it's not "hereditory" but "familiar" In the USA people take this as a complaint serious enough to see a dermatologist about and get treatment, it's all cosmetic reasons. I have it, I have hated it but never bothered a DR. My kids have it, and after reading the american treatments, I got a referral for my daughter to the dermatologist, and he agreed that it's not painful, but unsightly at times and prescribed Retinol A gel, which is an expensive anti aging substance, it reguvanates your skin faster. So when she doesn't use it, it's on my forehead!
