Hopefully yes, I'd love to enjoy a Christmas vindaloo and The Great Escape, but more than likely I'll be cajoled into driving to relatives for paper hats and crackers and wondering if the turkey's juices ran clear.
depends on your definition of alone. I will be spending the day with my 5 year old eating jam sandwiches (or anything else we fancy - nothing special) and playing with his toys. heaven...
Just me & my 18-yr old son. And the animals, of course! No lie-in for us, have to get up & feed the sheep & chickens, then the cats. Breakfast of bagels with cream cheese & smoked salmon (the late Mr. K's favourite), oh, & champagne, then off down the pub for a few & back for roast goose & all the trimmings. In the evening, we'll probably go & see our friends, so not really lonely at all!!
I will be working all over Christmas, making sure that none of the elderly or people who are ill that I care for are not alone. Will be providing some food and company.
After I finish work, if Hubby is feeling better, then I think he hopes to have a lovely dinner ready for me.
Suits me fine.
Yes I will be all alone in the US of A, the exact destination for now a mystery to me. Hopefully in a smokey old bar with a smokey old Jazz pianist playing smokey old tunes.
As long as the Jack Daniels runs smooth I shall be as happy as a sand boy.
I might even hire a call girl called Alabama (re: True Romance) to give me some classy crimbo company.
ooo i love xmas all alone in my little flat with just me the cat and the pet rats - bliss...
though this year as i am new to the job i am on the christmas rota to come round with the ambulance when you lot have been hitting the falling down juice too hard
Hello Amber , are you going to be alone ?
I live on my own but my son is coming home for christmas and we shall have dinner with my step-father .We will make a toast to all those absent and missing from the table . xx
I will have my youngest son here and my elderly mother will probably come up for lunch but the thought of potentially being alone at Christmas doesn't bother me
It will just be me and the cats - Frankie and Princess Merlin.
Spent last year with my brother and his family. The children were 9 months and 3 years old. It was traumatic, his wife made me eat my vegetables at dinner and restricted my chocolate consumption - I am 43 going on 4 years old.
