Upset

I am so angry and upset! My sister has just taken on the running of a hotel and pub with her bloke. They have been there only a few days, and last night 2 men staying in the hotel stayed up late drinking in the bar, and ended up head butting my sisters boyfriend, dragging him into their room and beating him up really badly- for no reason. The room was utterly trashed and there was blood and hair everywhere- the poor man has been scalped and has a broken nose, and looks dreadful. He managed to run out and hide, and call the police. They CF gassed one of the men and the sniffer dog found the other.
Can you believe that there are people who would do such a completely horrible thing to an innocent man who was just allowing them to drink after hours in the hotel bar! I am absolutely gobsmacked. I never thought the hotel business would be a dangerous one.
Should I be surprised or have you heard of this sort of thing happening before?

I once arrived at a hotel in the wee hours of the morning to find the clerk lying on the floor, covered in blood. He had been beaten to a pulp because the room they had been holding for a guest was given away after six PM. The man who booked it arrived at 10PM. He had not guaranteed his arrival, so to express his displeasure, he knocked the teeth out of the poor boy.
The police did capture the man. This happened in the states and as I recall, the assailant went to prison for many years as he already had a history of assault.
Im so sorry to hear of this

So sorry to hear about the unwarranted attack on your sister's boyfriend, poor thing.
I can't imagine how much it has affected them, but truly hope that once he's recovered & your sister has got over the shock, they can look to the future & give it another try.
Let's hope the blokes who did this get a taste of their own medicine - one day!
Take care.
