What is the point of a Thong

What are the advantages of wearing a thong? I know that by having the pack piece disappearing between the bum cheeks then this means no pantyline is visible through the clothing. However many females seem unconcerned when the top pant of the thong when viewed from the rear is blatantly visible above the waistline of their jeans - ie the female equivalent of 'builder's bum'. It can't be very comfortable either!

I personally wear thongs as I do find them so much more comfortable than ordinary briefs, and I can't comment on them showing above the waistline as I wear the hipster style ones. So the advantages for me of wearing a thong are: 1-extremely comforatble 2-no pantyline visible (as you said) 3-hipster thongs are easily hidden under clothing 4-I find them much more sexy than big frilly knicks!

The point of a thong is to show no VPL, to make a lady's bottom look cheeky, and to allow easy access. I am also reliably informed that they are comfortable too.

You are meant to see them from the rear ... that is why they have all those glitzy diamante bits where the thong joins the waist. My hubby says it's like thong wars where he works, but it brightens his day!! I find them comfy, but I don't go around flashing mine.

What's more attractive? Seeing the top of a pretty thong above the jeans waistline? Or seeing someone trying to pull their knickers out from between their cheeks?? There's nothing worse than getting your knickers caught in such a way! Thongs are much more comfy!

A good point could be that men like thongs more than the other stuff you wear. So sexeh! If I was a woman though, i'd only wear them if I felt comfortable in them.

Personally I think visible thongs are incredibly crude, however perfectly formed a woman's hips (or her thongs) are. But honestly, once on you do get used to that initially uncomfortable feeling to the point of forgetting that you actually have a thong on.

A thong prevents a VPL. Main reason. As trousers became lower waisted the thongs started showing up top. This then turned into a fashion thing also. When you see the top of the thong it is usually decorated. It's still a faux pas however to show any part of a thong that doesn't look good. Ultimately they are supposed to be discreet and most people wearing them do not show off the top. You can get hipster ones. They also take a long time to get used to because you do have material wedged between the cheeks. But then beauty is pain.

It looks more like the woman is wearing a truss, money belt, or surgical appliance to me. It must be the most diabolical fashion faux pas ever in my opinion. Looks common as muck and is often seen with a tatoo to complete the chav image. Sorry if I just offended a few thousand members, but it looks terrible!

Excuse me David, but not all of us are like Britney Spears who has to flash there underwear to make themselves feel better. Like I said, I find them much more comfortable than knickers which end up creeping between your cheeks anyway!! And hipster thongs are completely hidden away!! So as for thongs looking 'common' that is ridiculous, as I am sure anyone walking around with ordinary knickers sticking out above their pants would also look 'common'. It is not thongs it is the way people dress, like I can't stand girls walking around with a pair of fishnet tights on their chest with a bra showing underneath. It's not the item itself it's the way people portray themselves.

I was only referring to those women who choose to wear the thong tops showing and leave a huge gap between their trousers and top, not thong use per se. But now I think of it, anyone over about 14 who wears a top that leaves a huge gap between it and their trousers looks pretty naff as well, visible thong or not. If men started altering their appearances in similar ways everyone passing would crack up, yet women seem to get away with almost anything as the powers that be (big business) ensure so many copy each other that it appears normal to most, but I see through it. I'd like to try wearing a crop top myself for a few days and see how many indecent proposals I'd get (all from other men though).

I do agree David that some fashion (or most to me anyway) these days is absolutely terrible! And most girls obviously think they look trendy or something. But I suppose it's down to personal opinion. Try the crop top thing and report back asap!!
