What smell or song reminds you of your childhood?

Every time I hear Stand by your man by Tammy Wynette I am instantly transported back in time to being 14. I used to play it on my little portable record player and I had just got a new fluffy white carpet in my bedroom.

Tiger feet by Mud - i think - I remember dancing about in a pair of stripy socks pretending they were tiger feet. The smell of Vosene shampoo is another thing that always takes me back.

Bedknobs, was that shampoo called Agree ?
I remember me and my mate Janice used to use it and it smelled really strong of apples. it was great.
Does anyone remember Estolan conditioner too ?

Oh god yes, That Fern kinney song was also a favourite of mine and there was another song in the charts at the same time called Take that look off your face.

The music hall song Soldiers of the Queen brings back memories of when our boys marched off to the Boer War. The smell of workhouse gruel also brings back childhood memories.
