I had a thing on my thigh which I thought was a mole. It kept itching and bleeding periodically. I went to my GP who referred me to my local hospital where the dermatologist said it was not a mole at all, but an angioma, hence not dangerous, but she would remove it because it was bothering me. (She also checked all of my body, even the soles of my feet! but did not find anything else that concerned her). I had to sit and wait in the waiting room for perhaps an hour, then they called me back in, I had an injection and they removed it. They warned me it might be sore for a few days because there was a cut and some stitches but in fact it was painfree on the whole, perhaps a bit ticklish but that's all. I had to be careful not to let the area get wet and I had to go back to hospital to have the stitches removed, all painless. The hospital checked the tissue removed and confirmed it was not malignant.
