for a couple of months now, I ahve been receiving a sharp stabbing pain in my left pectorial.
Obvviously at first I feared it coould have been heart problems, I saw my gp, and he did test on me with a blood works and an ecg.

however the pain keeps continuing.
I was thinking maybe I have pulled a muscle in the area isntead, after all I ahve a son who insists on being lifted alot, so the msucle does not have chance to recover.

Does that sound likely? It can hurt randomly even when Im not moving. If so how can I treat it, without not picking my little munchkin up?

yes, heart pain is rarely a stabbing feeling, more a crushing squeezing feeling, normally accompanied with breathlessness or cold sweats.

there are several things that can cause pains like this from muscle strain to pleurisy!

if you have the pain when you move its likely to be muscle pain, if you have the pain at rest it may be an infection or something in that ballpark
Sounds muscular to me. I get a similar pain due to neck and shoulder problems, believe it or not. It's a sharp stabbing pain and I have had it for years and am still alive to tell the tale. However, I would restrict lifting your son as much as possible. Try taking Ibuprufen which which help if it is muscular.
Oh, and I get the pain when resting as well. It seems to happen quite a lot sometimes and then gets better for months.

thanks thats a releif.
Im going to the doctors for another matter this friday. Do you think I should mention it?
Or is it something that just egts better over time, I have paracetemol and maybe some ibroprofin anyway.
I would certainly mention it again to your doctor. Don't take my word for it, I am not medically trained. And, what's more your doctor might have some good advice on how to alleviate and treat the pain.

Best Wishes.
