Morning. I got circumcised about 4 and a half weeks ago, and it's nowhere near healed yet. The stitches are still in and it's very scabby! Is there anything I can do/take to speed up the healing process?
Many thanks
Jim

depends on how sensitive the area might be but I have used Bio Oil on childrens scabby knees and it has helped clear it up quicker. Warm baths should help too.
zinc and castor oil cream will work (you can get that at a chemist or Morrison's), and 'Sudocrem' is another alternative but the zinc and castor oil I would say is best. Problem is that you need to ideally let the cream soak in overnight. Maybe have a soak in the bath then apply the cream and wrap round a tissue over your bits to keep the cream where it should be and sleep in underwear to keep the treatment in place for a few nights?
It's a sod isn;t it - I was done at fourteen, and i remember it very well.

Try not to be impatient, if you mess too much, you can damage delicate tissue as it is reforming, and risk scarring.

It will heal quicker than you think, and the results will be worth it - I hated mine at first, it was far less common then than now - nearly forty years ago, but I really appreciate it now.
I was Schnickled as a baby, but, would you mind saying why you had it done?.

Health reasons. It got too tight and i couldn't pee!!!
Putting salt in your bath water aids healing - it doesn't sting I promise!!
Try Vitamin E capsules or tablets, they are supposed to help the healing process after operations. Good luck
It helps if you have a double jointed back!!
