Well here goes for an onslaught.

I found Bills preaching and help to vulnerable people remarkable. He has travelled the world and lived in the best hotels.

I acould say more but I wonr but all I will say that the people he took under his wing were paople who were showing true vulnerablity -I posted a few times but he never once posted on any of my threads -guesss i showed a bit of strength.

Im not religious so i dont fall for all that -I have nothing at all against the man -but I have doubts as to his integrity.

Devils advocate here -how are we to know that he is not a preacher who flits from site to site adding to his flock?

Dont be too hard on me -(really for what a lot of you are thinking -go on be honest)
O sorry for the typos -half an eye was on the tele -just for all the pedantics out there -lol
Im sort of with Dris here to an extent.

Whilst he might obviously be a lovely man, I did find his oh so nice manner a little bit nauseating- ok, im going straight to hell for thinking like this aren't I?

Still, I guess he was pleasant enough, and was never 'orrible to anyone, just a little part of me did occasionally think "is this guy for real?"
Drisgirl - I don't think many people'll be hard on you for just saying what you think. You haven't said anything unpleasant about Fr. Bill really. For myself - if the man's genuine, then I think he's lovely. There's nothing wrong in trying to help the lost and vulnerable.
I've e-mailed him two weeks ago but haven't heard from him. Hope he's okay.
As bobtheturkey would say "Apparently...Ted Bundy was a nice guy"
he has replied to some of my posts, and been really lovely. But I am very suspicious of people on here. And often thought he was Dr Spoc or Ward Minter.

the guys a guru Elvis

wish i had his wisdom
He's also intelligent - and safe at a distance - so who cares? I think he's a very wise man.
Petal, his style of writing is different from spock and minter's.
311271..whos wisdom..Bundy?
Let's rock Elvis. A man's home is his coffin. Now wait a second. My pretty teenage daughter with the brain of a fruit-fly earned a thousand quid in three nights. Should I be worried? is that not Christmas?

lmao

Entertainment for the cave man was simple: Man kills food, woman burns it, giant pterodactyl swoops down, chases woman, woman falls in mud. A good laugh is had by all.
He postulates about helping deprived and destitute Romanian children: what about the ones in the UK?
I shall keep you company in Hell, BOO :o)
Oh he was genuine alright, a quick Google of his name proved that.

Last I heard of him he was helping Old Grape.

I know he was annoyed before when he realised that not everyone on here was what they first appeared.

I suspect he got his fingers burnt again so has walked away.

I have no time for his religion but a lot of time for him. A thoroughly good man.
O I agree he existed -just dont know what the agenda was.

See im naturally suspicious of people who appear too good to be true -kinda like Jehovahs-and thats where i'll leave that particular opinion fo mine.
I don't think he felt particularly comfortable with debate and having deeply held views challenged.

Unlike a congregation this forum doesn't tend to politely agree to differ and some people are just deliberately provocative (you know who you are) and if that winds people up and makes them unhappy then they're better off finding somewhere else to play.

Personally I think the Prof was a much greater loss
Sorry jake-and also thonlyone for posting on your thread but I have to dispute that.

If you are prepared to post on 3 consecutive posts in order to preach your wisdom then I think its only natural to expect to be challenged.I really dont recall anyone being nasty to the man at all but as in you having your opinion and him having his then surely others are entitled to have their opinion as well -if you dont say that you are sceptical then that makes you (as in one) a hypocrite.
I would fully expect doubters had I posted in the manner he did -I have no axe to grind at all -really -just have my doubts.
