i have just been prescribed the mini pill micronor. the doctor explained that periods may be very irregular or stop altogether. i am well aware that no method is guaranteed & the is a small chance pregnancy could still occur. what i am worrid about is if periods stop altogether because of the pill how would you know if it had not worked? i assume if it did not work & i did fall pregnant & carried on taking the pill without knowing then it would cause harm to the baby. (i am 26 & in a v secure relationship, so would not be the end of the world if i did fall pregnant- im just not ready yet) anyone have any experience or kowledge that may help?
thanks in advance x

I use micronor and have had no problems really, at first I bled almost constantly for first 3 weeks then it kinda settled down. I stupidly stopped taking the pil for a week and my cycle went nuts tho, was every 2 weeks.
As long as you are aware that with the mini pill TIMING is crucial eg, at the same time every single day, you cant be late with it or it may not work !!!

Good luck
i had micronor. my periods were a little irregular and i suffered with lumpy painful boobs and thrush but didn't fall preggas.

on the upside my sex drive went up and i was more laid back with my moods.

hope this helps.
good luck!
Jane the lumpy painful boobs may be what I have, fibrocystic breast disease (not as bad as it sounds) its hormonal I think and really painful
was on the mini pill for couple years with no problems but started to bleed irregular and even on the week off i was still bleeding! just came off and got the injection but the down side is putting on weight and my sex drive going downhill, not good for my user name. lol
hi weeal, its ok. i had a mammogramm and scan and they showed nothing.
after some research i read that some women used oil of evening primrose to lessen the pain and lumps.

i tried this and it does work but deflates your boobs a little...
