As i said previously a whille ago, i was needing the toilet frequently and not sleeping right, so i went to the quaks yesterday, and did a pee in the tube. The doctor tested it, and said there was blood in the pee, and said i have a water infection, he was going to send it off for further checks, so diabetes is possibly unlikely unless the results tell otherwise so i've now been proscribed on a course of antibiotics. Hopefully i'll be better

So glad that you went to have your problem checked out.
It probably is a UTI which will clear with the antibiotics.
Thanks for the update!, Im sure its probably just an infection, they are prevalent particularly at this time of the year.
Blood in the urine does not necessarily mean a bladder infection although they can put a strip into the urine sample to test for it. They can also test your kidneys but usually has to be sent to the lab. Failing this you may need to have a urethescope (camera) inserted into your penis.
Ouch!
Not being male, I don't know a lot about this problem, apart from two of my friends having the same symptoms as you've described. I agree with Kwicky - but the sooner you get tested properly, the better, as needing the loo frequently can signify kidney or prostate trouble. Hope you'll be alright though.

He mentioned that if the results were positive, i'd need a ultrasound scan of the kidney or something like that
keep your chin up adam. you did the right thing going immediately to the doctor.

here's hoping whatever it is - is not serious.

happy new year
This happened to my husband last year.

He had the Ultra sound scan on his kidneys, the Cystoscope tests and then a rectal biopsy.....result.

Nothing. He probably had a urine infection after all.

So try not to worry too much.
