Marine's diet?

I noticed quite a while ago someone mentioned a strict diet followed by marine's. I don't think it ever mentioned what it consisted of though-except rapid weight loss, can anyone help at all?

Not sure about the diet but u can get their training schedule (workout) on their website....thought it was interesting that swimming only breastroke was in there....must be to build up their shoulders?????

A bloke I know who used to be in the Navy told me that whenever they got podgy at sea the ship's doctor would reccomend what is basically the Atkins diet
