Sore throat and numb tongue
5 Answers
just recently i have started with a slightly sore throat and numb tongue. its not the whole of my tongue that is numb, just underneath at the back. it feels like it has been strained or something. i was at the dentist last week and he was telling me to push my tongue from side to side etc and i was wondering if it was from that.
in a morning my throat is most sore and i get a bit of phlegm. has anybody else had this? i know that there is alot of colds going around.

You've probably strained your tongue from visiting the dentist. The sore throat is probably unrelated. A slight cold? Reaction to dust, feathers, spicey food. Could you be a big snorer?
Try hot toddies (warm lemon squash with soluble aspirin and honey). A drop of whisky helps to cheer you up.
Get well soon.
