She could go as the ultimate 80's icon:
Maggie
rubiks cube! one of 4getmenots best!

get a large cube box, cut holes for arms and head and lose the bottom side.

The cut squares of coloured card and clue onto a black base to replicate a rubiks cube!.

I was going to say that red, but then I thought "no, silly suggestion, who on earth would go as that!!"
she wore it to my 80s party. other costumes were

Indiana Jones
Madonna (along with pointy bra)
Top gun
Boy George
general 80s clothing, shoulder pads, rara skirts, pixie boots
lots of coloured bangles, scarves, big coloured earings and huge hair
it was a great outfit 4GS, it made a handy built in table for her drinks and food too lol
wasnt so easy to play twister in though
Yep I have been rubiks cube before. Cardboard box holes for arms and head. Dont need a black box, use Black electrical tape dividing sides into 9 squares and then coloured card cut into squares and rounded off at edges and stuck on. Easy and you can either be mixed up or sorted. :-)
There were also all the 80's rock bands and rock chicks think motley crue, guns n roses the girls from the robert palmer addicted to love video etc.

Or new romantic, adam ant, early duran duran

Got a photo of the Rubik, 4get?
If she is looking for creativity and really making an effort, but in effect will not cost that much, then she should go as Mr T from the A Team.

Assuming your daughter is a slim white female, going as a beefy coloured man will show inspiration.

What she needs.

Monkey boots

Mechanics Overalls or dungarees.

A thick leather belt or weight training belt

As many chains as she can find. If you go to a garden centre or DIY store you can cut your own lenghts of varying different links quite cheaply.

Black mans skin paint (from all fancy dress shops or Ebay, only a few pounds).

A light coloured swimming cap that will be coloured with the black mans skin paint.

For the mohawk hair, you can either dye sponge black and glue a mohawk down the middle and sides

Or cut a slit in the swimming cap, whilst sealing the ends so it wont split all the way and use her real hair sticking through.

But a black stick on beard.

Rings and gold dangly earrings to taste.

Sounds hard, but in reality quite easy. It will look fantasic, trust me.

PS, she must say things like

"You Crazy Fool"

"I Pity the Fool"

"I ain't getting on no plane"

my mate was Mr T, he actually shaved his hair into a mohican and the chains were those gold beads you get on xmas trees. And Panic I do have a pic but not on computer
How about a cast member from Fame? Only need leotard, leggings, leg warmers and sweat bands. Dont forget to the backcombed hair though lol
