Actually, I think it's because the hormones that are released in great number when you are in love cause you to behave somewhat as if you are mentally ill & you are unable to see the object of your passions faults. It's all nature I've heard, & designed to keep people getting together & multiplying. Then the love thing wears off (maybe) and you see them for the gross scumbag that they really are!!

I don't actually believe love IS blind.

I believe lust is blind, not love.

In love, you can see the persons flaws, but you accept them.

In lust, you can't see any flaws - to you, your partner is 100% perfect to you (which in reality, they are not, they're real human beings that make mistakes). So you don't accept any flaws, because you're so blinded by the feelings of lust, you can't see any.
