The flight shouldn't be a problem in itself but as you say you are going to a hot country you will have to take extra care to keep the tattoo dry and clean.
Don't put sunblock on it if it's still scabbed though, just keep it covered when in the sun.Your tattooist should be able to give really good advice on care of a new tattoo.
Thanks to everyone who replied. My daughter and I are going to a wedding in Mexico early April and she is due to have her 2nd tattoo in March. Some of her workmates have warned her against it, using the holiday as a reason, but I think they're trying to tell her not to have it done really.
I think her workmates are dead right! Whats the point of having any tattoo?
Apart from the risk of some infection while having it done, they look revolting, are very difficult to remove, and should be confined to celebrities, pop stars and footballers, who dont know any better.
weggiewabbit, pips didn't ask for your opinion on tattoos so why give it?. That topic has been done to death on AB before, but if you want to resurrect the subject why not start your own thread.
Thanks Daffy for your support but I have to agree with some of the comments both on here and from my daughter's friends. The first tattoo my daughter had was tiny and on the inside of her wrist so wasn't TOO bad, but I really hoped that would be the end of it. I don't really like them but she is really keen to get another one and I suppose I hoped someone would put her off having it done.
