I have noticed throughout my life that it is not ok to call people names if they are overweight but if you just happen to be skinny you can expect to be called all sorts of horrible things. I have been called a junkie, accused of having anorexia or bulimia, told I look like a bloke in drag because I have very slim hips. Why does society accept this? In fact the media positively encourage people these days by slagging off size 0 models. We don't even have size 0 here in the UK!
Us skinny people have feelings you know. We wouldn't walk up to an overweight person and say "oh my god look how fat you are". So don't walk up to a thin/skinny person and say "oh my god look how skinny you are". It is just as insulting and upsetting you know!

Hi popsickle, you just sound the same.lol. There are sometimes people on here that have more than one user name and they use them to talk to themselves for some bizarre reason.pmsl.
thanks weeal :D I was having a moment !!
i am thin, not wire skinny. i eat normal or maybe a little too much at times. whenever people complain about my size i always ask them if they are jealous they are not a size 4 like i am. that usually shut them to hell up.
My sister get's these comment's all the time. Out of four of us she is the oldest and the only one with a child but is by far the skinniest. She get's really upset with people making any kind of comment's regarding her weight.
She looks a lot skinnier than she is, becasue she has wide hips and a larger frame she is a size 12 but looks more like an 8. So when she is clothes shopping people always say things like 'theres no way your a 12, stop being so stupid'. My auntie actually made her squeeze into a 10 to prove she was a 12. I really feel for her and even though I'm jealous of her size I wont say anything becasue I know how much it upsets her. And also I know she'd kill for parts of my body too, mainly my boobs.
No one is ever going to be fully happy with themselves, so there is no way to comment on someone whatever their size without offending them.
She can also eat for England, way more than me sometimes. So just goes to show that's the size she was meant to be. Leave the skinnies alone people!! x
people took time to post on your thread and respond to your question. why only selective few got stars?
haha she wishes she was the same person!

Because chaterbox, this thread was not started for people to start having a go at larger people,so those that did have a go or were nasty about it didn't get stars.

ball why arent you naked yet?
I know exactly what you mean daffy but I think it depends on who says it & how it's said.

I've always been a skinny minnie too, I've had all the insults & as a teenager/ young woman it often got me down. Now I'm... erm... mature in years, but not in necessarily in behaviour, I don't really care & laugh at myself. My friends on here - they know who they are! - call me stick-woman, haha. I have actually gained a bit of weight recently but it keeps them from calling other people names :o)

What I strongly object to though is this 'real woman' phrase....grrr...it makes my blood boil! We're all real, & as you say daffy, we all have feelings.
