I am attending a christening next weekend and I'm not sure what I should do/bring! I gave the baby a St. Christopher when he was born. Is there anything you are supposd to do other than turn up?!

Hi Scarlett,

It is generally expected to bring a gift or keepsake of some kind - doesn't need to be anything expensive.

I have generally bought new babies in my family a bear with the same name as they have - Boyds bears do some lovely ones - if you go on Boyds site and search for the name they may have something suitable, and you can try to find it on a UK site, or just google the name and bear and see what comes up. This is boyds US site
.http://www.boydsbears.com/

If you give me a name, I am sure that I can find something.

or something like a collectable ornament - maybe something like this:

or this:

I have bought books as christening presents in the past. Either something for when the baby is very young, or a boxed set of books (eg The Narnia series) for when they are a bit older.
