not eating for a week is bad 4 you and i no all the problems you can have all i want to do is lose some weight. would just having dinner every day and nothing else help or not, even tho you dont get all the vitermins and stuff like that. or i could have just dinner every day and a piece of fruit 4 breakfast. thanks.

Best way is to eat 3 meals a day but make them small and nutritional: eg- small bowl of cereal and a banana for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch or some home made soup, and dinner should have some protein and some carbs. So, something like chicken breast or fish, with salad, veg and a small amount of pasta, rice or potato. Stop when you are full. Don't eat any cake, sweets, crisps, sugar etc. If you are hungry, eat fruit or have some Echinacea tea (or any fruit or herbal tea- green tea is also good). Also step up your exercise- more walking and swimming, or anything that you enjoy.

How much weight have you got to lose. If you have a lot then you need to have a structured long term approach. if you have a little to lose then by crash dieting you will slow your metabolism and end up with a lot to lose in a few years.
If you have a little weight to lose then up you exercise by 50% and drop your intake of calories by 20%. That should do it for you.
If you have a lot of weight to lose then increase your exercise by walking more and decrease your calories by 30%. Just use a smaller plate or dish up a third less than you would normally. Do not snack except on fruit or veg or nuts (a few) and you will lose weight.

And then grilled fish/ chicken and veg for dinner. Try to cut down on sugar, salt and carbs like white bread, 'white' pasta. Things like that.

If you eat loads in a day then you are constantly thinking about food and asking yourself what you want to eat next. You are probably not starving at all, you just have confused hunger signals. If you cut out all the rubbish food and eat 3 times a day, only good and wholesome food, you will not be hungry, and you won't get pangs of hunger for salt and sugar and fat.
thats because when you dont eat your metabolism (like the bodys engine that burns calories) doesnt get moving, therefore you wont be hungry.
on a day you will eat, your body will start burning energy thus making you hungry. we all say it wont work because a lot of us have probably been there at some point in life and realised it ourselves!
the best thing you could do to make you feel and look great is treat your body like a temple, only eat really good nutritious food, dont eat junk it only makes you feel bad.
I know you want a short term fix but in the long term all it will do is make you starve and binge which isnt good for your body.
remember the phrase you are what you eat, if you eat junk you will feel and look like junk, so eat really good healthy food and not only will you lose weight your eyes will shine, your skin will be clear and you will feel great.

hope your feeling ok, i am to struggling to loose a stone, i know i can loose it with things liek slimfast etc. but i know i will put it back on when i start eating properly again.
I think the best thing to do is eat 3 times a day but try to pick a healthy option, brown bread not white, wholegrain cereals etc and for snacking eat fruit.
let us know how you get on. i know its hard hun, but please dont do silly things such as you said 'throwing up' its not gonna help in the long run.

Believe me darlin'. It doesn't work like that. That little bit of weight off will never make you happier, you'll keep losing and losing, and it'll never satisfy the desperation.
I would go to your doctors and explain how you're feeling. You may have a thyroid gland problem which could make you put on weight, and the fact that you feel that your weight is a problem to you. They'll give you ways of losing weight and give you books to read.
And I'm guessing that you feel quite low- this is probably for two reasons- One; Your self-esteem seems quite low. Were you or are you being bullied at school for your weight?
Two; The fact that you're not eating properly will lead to you feeling depressed.
For example, just today I went to the doctors as I have suffered badly from depression for a long time. I have been told (while waiting for psychiatric help) to go on a GI diet to raise my mood and to exercise 30 mins a day. (Getting my heartrate up and sweating etc)
Why don't you have a look at this GI diet and maybe we could keep track of our records and how were feeling?

hey thanks 4 all your advice. im really low in my self confidence and everything like that. i dont go out anymore with mates because there all thiner than me and i feel left out. but i just wana lose weight ive tried everything but starving myself seems the only way out. but when i dont eat im not that hungry so it ok but if i do eat i feel more hungry.
