Philtrum is a nice word too - it is from the Greek 'philtron': to love or kiss.

I don't know Ethel, it sounds terribly like Frenulum to me....
But maybe I'm obsessed! lol
That word is from the Latin, and means 'little bridle'.

Maxie, I knew it wasn't frenulum, but that was the first thing that popped into my head as well, your mucky mind is rubbing off on me! :)
the cupid's bow is one definition for the two pointy bits running along the top line of someone's mouth, and underneath the nostrils - it isn't the indentation towards the nose (philtrum)
