Why do we vomit when we have drunk too much?

Alcohol directly irritates your stomach lining. You can't prevent this by eating a fatty meal before you go out - or don't drink so much next time!
Also, pure alcohol is a poison and therefore alcoholic drinks are diluted poison (which is why it affects our brains). When your body recognises that too much of a poison is entering your body, it tries to get it out as soon as possible. This means either being sick or having the runs

And a third factor. Alcohol disables the inner ear. Some of that nausea is dry land sea-sickness.
Hmmm, what sort of girls are you taking home after a night out? I never vomit after i have had a lot to drink...
