Will my sisters hair go green?

Afternoon All,

Blondie (middle sister) would like to know if she goes swimming in the pool will her hair go green? She's a bleached blonde (I did try to talk her out of it).

If it does, she should slather her hair in tomato ketchup.

Prevention is better than cure, so if she can stand to be seen in a swimming cap......

I was a bleached blonde for years and it never happened to me! I'm not saying it wont happen, just I don't know of anyone who it has happened to either!

Maybe there is something different about bleach nowdays!

My daughter is natural platinum blonde and once on holiday her hair had a greenish tinge after swimming in the hotel pool.

The ketchup DOES work, although I couldn't fancy chips for about 6 weeks

How recently has she had it bleached? My sister went abroad shortly after having her hair permed once and it went green from the chemicals in the pool.

As mrs o has said, the ketchup trick does work, even when dyed brunettes get a green tinge!

Can I just say, I need cheering up, so if it does go green, can you link a picture for me to laugh at? thanks ;)
