I always felt like a right pleb when people asked if I wanted a cup of tea or coffee and asking for a water instead! I drink coffee now, but only when I'm really tired because it's gotta be better for you than that Red Bull (caffeine soft drink that gives you wings in case that gets edited out!) rubbish. I think I'm only on five cups a week, and they usually happen straight after lunch break at work or first thing when I get into work. Try to keep your caffeine intake quite low tho because it does have bad side effects including making you wee a lot more (diuretic), more fidgetty (guess that's the caffeine) and inability to sleep!
Don't feel you need to drink tea or coffee if you don't like either. There are plenty of alternatives. If you want a warm drink you can drink milky drinks such as chocolate or ovaltine or similar. Alternatively, there is a wide range of herbal teas available which taste nothing like your traditional tea. Go to the suprmarket and see what's on the shelf. The point is, drink what you like, not what you feel you should be drinking.
stick to herbal teas they are better for you. as for coffe or anything containing caffeine can be bad for your skin and causes cellulite. its only function is to wake you up a bit. ive heard coffee can cause flatulance also(a lot of it). if you do have to drink it try the decaffeinated. if you purely need energy bananas are a natural source of energy.
I have found coffe to give me a warm, fuzzy, at-home feeling (even when I'm not). And there are so many things you can do with it!! Add chocolate, liquor (my husband always liked Baileys) or flavored syrups, blend it with ice on a hot day, or serve over ice with whipped cream, enjoy dunking assortes cookies, and all of these wonderful variations even come in decaf!
I actually find myself addicted to decaf since I got pregnant 18 months ago. Can't go a day without it. All of this coming from a woman who 3 years ago wouldn't touch the stuff! But if you give it a go and still can't bear the stuff then no bother torturing yourself.
Can you tell I used to work at Starbucks?
