I have a really sore and hard lump on my groin area. About the size of kidney bean. Does anyone know what it could be?

A cyst probably or an ingrown hair depending where on the groin area. If you're that worried about a lump you need to go see your GP.

sounds like an ingrowing hair, i get them quite often. they will either burst on their own or you can get them lanced. i had one in my groin after having a bikini wax. it was so painful.

Could be a lymph gland. Have you had a boil in the area of your buttocks or the leg on which side the gland can be felt?

Might be a boil. Check it is not the onset of diabetes as this can be an early sign.

Use anti-bacterial wash as well so it doesn't spread.

I got one of those last year. It was just a bump, but got painful because of where it was situated (right where the elastic band of my knickers were) and was rubbing, so it got bigger and red. It turned out it wasn't an ingrown hair (could have been, as it was "down below", just to the right, where you would shave), just a cyst. I got it removed under local, got two stiches (female doc and female nurse....yay! lol) and after two weeks, no more problems. I do have a small scar there now, but I can't see it as being a put off...if you see what I mean? lol A lot of people get them, don't be ashamed to see your doc about it.
