Book them a tandem skydive?
visit all the potential guests, friends and family and film lots of clips, some fun and some touching. put it all together and show it on the night.

someone at work is retiring and this was done. it was fun to watch and included out-takes at the end.

octavius thats anothere great idea, apology accepted its just that my dad has been really ill just lately and i guess i am a bit touchy, sorry for over reacting.................
Hi stoke,
Many congratulations to your parents, a wonderful achievement.

one idea,

Its mine and my wifes 30yh coming up, and my family have paid and booked us into the Ritz Hotel, one night, their 'Finale package', incudes Champagne and flowers in the room, two theatre tickets for the show of your choice, a three course supper, and breakfast.

It is expensive, but if everyone contributes, it doesn't make to big a hole in the pocket.
A sensible answer now - most of the supermarkets provide a service where you can get a photo put onto a cake (eg, your parents wedding). For my parents Ruby Anniversary we had a collage of photo's professionally done, it included all the members of our family, young pictures of my brother and I and various ones of the parents, pets etc. It has pride of place in the hall way now.

You could hire a professional photographer to come and take pictures of the night then buy them a nice album of it as a memento or hire a shoot for all the kids or with them as well and buy them a nice photograph.
Book them a day-trip on the Orient Express.....my ex and his brother and step brothers did that for their parents for a wedding anniversary presant.....they loved it!!!
Get in touch with Buckingham Palace.I think the Queen sends cards (like she does for 100th birthday) Its free. There is a web site.
My friend arranged for her parents to re-new their wedding vows at the church they were married in. It was a great success.

Can you tell us the web-site for the card from the Queen?
my parents 50th coming up.............

pk
The Queen sends messages for diamond (sixtieth), sixty-fifth and platinum (seventieth) wedding anniversaries and then every year thereafter.

Her Majesty does not send a message for Silver (twenty-fifth), Ruby (fortieth) or Golden (fiftieth) wedding anniversaries.

The delivery of these messages is arranged by the Anniversaries Office, part of the Private Secretary's Office in the Royal Household, based at Buckingham Palace.

Reading all these ideas, the one I would love the most is a day trip o the orient express!!

I must start dropping some hints here at home!!
