Should I finish my antibiotics?

I started antibiotics on Tuesday, for a kidney infection. At the time the Dr asked if I was pregnant, and I said no, but I hadn't thought that it's some time around now that I'm due to ovulate, and we are trying for a baby. If I conceived today for example, could the antibiotics be harmful, or doesn't it matter until implantation?

Don't worry scooby do, finish the course for the kidney infection, they will not do any harm to the embryo.
just finish the course of antibiotics, you may not even conceive this month, the emphasis should be on clearing your infection, the antibiotics should not cause any damage to an embryo should you have conceived.

finish the course, try to get pregnant next month instead. You will find it more difficult to conceive if you dont look after your own health first. Whats the name of the ab's? i could look them up for you and let you know if they are contra-indicated

Thanks. They're called Ciprofloxacin.

It's unlikely I'm pregnant, as I've been trying for about 18 months, but I just had a panic! I agree that it's important to get rid of the infection, and i wouldn't want to get pregnant next month and the infection to come back!
Thanks for your advise
if you don't finish the antibiotics the bacteria may become immune to them so if you get another kidney infection the antibiotivs would have no effect.
