Can anyone recommend a good private dentist in the south east Bedfordshire, north West Hertfordshire area, or possibly further afield?
Working on telephone conversations only, I fear I've made an appointment with a butcher. (Residential address, barely speaks English , will accept any payment etc )

Thats interesting dogbutter, can't say whether you have or haven't made an appointment with a 'butcher' on the basis of what you have said.
However I can't imagine what evidence you would have to support that theory based on phone conversations alone, presumably you've spoken to reception staff and not the dentist? (who should be busy in surgery having delegated administrative tasks to administrative staff).
Many dentists (especially private) will work in a residential area in a converted property.
Difficulty in speaking English may impair communication with yourself (which may be a problem) but does not reflect the clinical skill of the dentist.
Ability to accept any form of payment is common in many businesses and is surely a positive?
I would probably go on the GDC website and see if the dentist is registered and also if she/he has any professional conduct hearings pending or previous.
I would also try (if possible) to speak to existing patients.

Each time I called I've spoken to the practitioner, no staff apparently.
Thanks for the GDC tip.
