He falls asleep early
22 Answers
My fella, who is lovely in lots of ways, keeps falling asleep really early in the evenings leaving me to watch telly, read etc on my own. He's OK if we are working on the house or garden ot are out but as soon as he relaxes he's snoring his head off! He does get up at 6.30am but he's often asleep by 8.30pm. It's becoming a bit of an issue between us - advice please!

My ex used to do this too... but that was probably because (a) he was absolutely exhausted after a seriously stressful job and (b) he found watching the idiot box (ie the tv) after such a day a total switch off... hence the snoozes. However, if we had dinner at the dining table and continued to chat to each other, listen to music, play games etc, he would be fine ! In other words, it was the combination of a very hectic day followed by the brain being switched into zombie mode that led to the eyes glazing over ! (He was fine if we were watching interesting documentaries, the news, etc etc, it was watching soaps, light comedies, silly stuff etc that did it for him, poor sod !)
Nooooo kathy, that's not the reason for the ex-ness (the move to another continent is the real reason and I didn't want to move abroad). He is still a very good friend and I have the greatest of respect for him.
I would recommend that you turn the tv off, unless there is a really interesting programme on that you both will enjoy. Don't automatically have the box on - see what happens then !

Thanks for the advice. We don't watch TV that much - especially in the summer but even if it's something he really wants to watch he drops off! Poor thing. As for going to the cinema in the evening - forget it! Lol!!
I know I'm making light of it but it can be really irritating. Maybe the sex route will be best, if not for him.........
